Telus Cup U18 Championship Bid Video Production

LeClair Media provided video production for the Telus Cup U18 Canadian Championship Bid 2023 in collaboration with the Saskatoon Bid Committee Board and key strategic partners,

The Telus Cup brings the best under-18 teams in the country together to compete for Canada’s Men’s U18 National Club Championship.  The tournament brings the best of Canadian Hockey’s up and coming stars and soon to be top NHL picks.  The video was produced with intent to become the leading bid, therefore bringing the tournament to Saskatoon & Merlis Belsher Place.  That being said, the video itself is more of a presentation and informational oriented short-doc format.  As you can see, we’ve also added several animation / motion graphic components to the video.

Highlighting the world class and practically brand new facilities at the Merlis Belsher Place Arena was a key priority. The $43 M facility, is proud to be home to the Saskatoon Contacts which as represented in the video are the home team / hosting local team of the Tournament.  Merlis Belsher Place also of course hosting USask’s Huskies Hockey teams, as well as the U of S basketball, and soccer team’s offices (men’s and women’s). Also important was presenting key strategic partners and endorsements such as former Contacts player Chandler Stephenson of the Vegas Golden Nights and 2 time Stanley cup winner, the University of Saskatchewan, Discover Saskatoon, The Saskatoon Blades, IHG Hotels Group, The City of Saskatoon including the Mayor Charlie Clark, Holdiay Inn Express Saskatoon East University, Kevin Waugh, Saskatoon Minor Hockey Association & Hamm Construction.
